Blase Family Farm

The whole family can find something to enjoy at the Blase Family Farm in a Rockwall, TX. This family owned and operated urban farm is relatively small but offers a lot of fun for people who love to pick their own blueberries or pumpkins. Each one is available in the appropriate season, and the farm is closed between the two harvest times. Blueberry picking occurs in the summer and pumpkins are available throughout the autumn months.

Although the Blase Family Farm primarily focuses on those two crops and offers the public the ability to pick their own produce, it also offers more entertainment possibilities. This makes it a great place to bring the kids. Everyone will enjoy carrying their own little basket or bucket to pick blueberries and dream about eating them when they get home. During pumpkin-picking time, you can also experience a fun hayride and meet some adorable farm animals in the petting zoo. This includes sheep, pigs, a donkey, llama, and miniature horse. The farm also keeps honeybees, which you can learn about and view from a distance. The opportunities for fun, education, and relaxation just keep coming.

A morning or afternoon excursion to the Blase Family Farm is not complete unless you bring home some of your handpicked produce. While they do not offer extensive beverage and food sales, you can purchase delicious lemonade or blueberry popsicles to help keep you cool on your journey. Admission is affordable and comes with a free hotdog as well. They also sell handcrafted soaps made from all-natural ingredients and essential oils. This is just another example of the appreciation that the Blase family has for the environment, growing things, and taking care of friends, the community of Rockwall, Texas, and the world.
